Da beat battle lastnite was incredible. All da producers brought heat! It was good to finally put faces to alot of people in our ever-growing Hawaii hip hop scene. We wanna encourage everyone to continue to showcase ur talents & come out to these events & participate. We were amazed by how much talent is brewing within our own scene, & alotta new heads we don't even kno putting it down! Yes yes y'all, once again our own Dj Skid, aka Dj 1nemcis competed in this years DMC @ the L.A. Regional heat. Once again, Dj Skid made it to the finals but did not win the regional. Nevertheless we are still proud that we have one of our own reppin not only ALR, but Hawaii & the Phillipines. Congratulations Dj Skid for another Dmc Regional finals appearance! Keep it movin............stay tuned.

I remember wen I first heard gangstarr, word I manifest was bumpin & I was like, wow dats fresh. They had a different style from everyone else. Then Step in the arena dropped, & I became an instant fan! Throughout my early emcee days, every album gangstarr dropped, I was influenced by. Guru's silky voice & streetsmart lyrics, along with Premos eery production helped define the type of musician I came to be. Thank u Guru for touching not only my life, but da millions who felt da real music u & Premo put out. U will be missed. I will never forget..........that it's mostly da voice, that gets u up! - Guru.

Wut up peepz! Y'all kno ALR to always bring dat raw underground feel good fiyah! But this year, we are taking on a new approach, a new endeavor if u will. Well underground headz kno dat all 3 original members of ALR have paid our dues in this hip hop game. (excluding Dj Cozy, da young buck lol). Now we are doin things that u may not be accustomed to our ALR signature sound, but it's about time for us to make some power moves. We've been there, done that, now we venture into deeper waters. You all will hear our new futuristic radio projection soon. The question is, do you think ALR are sell outs for doin it?
